My Honest Review

Hey there, fellow budget-savvy travellers! If you’ve ever considered exploring the United Kingdom and thought your bank account might just need CPR afterwards, fear not!

I’m here to spill the tea on how to keep those pounds in your pocket while wandering around this picturesque land of royalty, tea, and impeccable queues.

So, picture this: You’re all set to embark on a journey to tick off every must-see spot in the UK, but your bank account looks at you with a raised eyebrow.

Don’t worry, my friends, National Express buses are about to become your new best travel buddies.

The view during the route Bath-Reading on a National Express coach.

National Express buses have been my trusty steed during the last year, and let me assure you – it’s been a rollercoaster of laughs, adventures, and one-time mishaps. Or maybe two.

But why do I choose National Express buses over trains or other bus companies like FlixBus and Megabus?

Yes, you can connect to everywhere in The UK with National Express!

Well, my friends, it all boils down to a delightful combo of affordability, cleanliness, and the sweet, sweet sound of free Wi-Fi.

Firstly, let’s talk cash. If you’ve ever considered travelling by train in the UK, you probably had to ask for a second mortgage just to afford a ticket.

National Express, on the other hand, won’t drain your wallet faster than you can say “Big Ben.” Trust me; I’ve been there.

And the cherry on top? The buses are clean, like cleaner-than-your-room-after-a-weekend-of-binge-watching kind of clean.

I mean, who knew you could travel on a budget and not end up in a rolling dumpster on wheels? National Express knew that’s who.

Now, onto the Wi-Fi situation. If the mere thought of being offline for more than five minutes sends shivers down your spine, I got you.

National Express buses are equipped with Wi-Fi that actually works ( Flixbus I’m calling you out!).

But what about the heroes behind the wheel? Bus drivers on National Express coaches are the unsung champions of politeness and kindness.

Forget the grumpy old stereotype; drivers could teach Mary Poppins a thing or two about charm.

Last week I did the route London-Leicester and the driver was amazing, she even made us laugh with her pre-departure speech.

And here’s the kicker – you can connect with any part of the UK.

From the bustling streets of London to the picturesque hills of Edinburgh, National Express has got you covered. You can check out all the destinations by clicking here.

Say goodbye to the limitations of other bus services that leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere, waiting for a ride like a character in a horror movie.

Sure, there might be the occasional tardiness – they’re fashionably late, let’s call it that.

Compared to my FlixBus experience in Brussels where I could have read War and Peace while waiting, 20ish minutes late is a walk in the park.

You can watch my video comparison here!

As you can see, my fellow adventurers, National Express buses are the unsung heroes of budget travel in the UK.

They’re cheaper than train, cleaner than other coaches, come with Wi-Fi, and won’t leave you stranded even during a British streak (and no, we’re not talking about the weather).

So, hop on board, and let the journey begin!

You can check all the destinations and buy your tickets here, and again I’m not getting paid for this recommendation.

Cheers, and safe travels!
